Club Stories
We lost a great Rotarian in July 2023 - Erv Hedegaard was a very active member in the Whitehall club for more than 45 years.  He served as club president and was elected to represent all Rotary Clubs in Montana as District Governor for 1999-2000.  Donations made to our club in his memory will help to cover the cost of a memorial picnic table for our community.  Table will be handicapped accessible, similar to the one pictured but in Rotary blue.  Once the concrete can be poured for the table, it will be installed in our city park near the historic fish pond.

IN MEMORY OF TWO GREAT WHITEHALL ROTARIANS
Hank King and Vic Miller were very valued members of our club.  Hank served two terms as club president and volunteered on projects when he could.
Vic was always ready to lend a helping hand regardless of the weather and even sometimes his health.
Both will be greatly missed.
Our club has a new meeting format   We meet (typically) on the first and second Monday evenings of each month.  Holidays may alter this.  We also hold a social dinner (no business meeting or program) on a Monday near the end of some months.  In warmer weather, we use an open Monday evening to do a service project in the community.

Please see the full list by clicking on Club Meeting Schedule in the menu bar above.
We meet on the FIRST and SECOND Mondays with a service project on the third or fourth Monday.
This schedule is subject to change so check the Club Meeting Schedule often.

For more than a decade, Whitehall Rotarians have been recognizing other individuals, groups, and businesses who also provide valuable service to our community- more than 68 Wheelchair Awards have been presented..  A donation jar at the local A&W/KFC provides all the funding.  When $150.00 has been donated, the club sends a check to the Wheelchair Foundation and a person somewhere in the US or other parts of the world receives a wheelchair that they otherwise would not be able to own.  As of January 1, 2015, part of the money donated in the A&W/KFC jar will also be used to help fund local community projects and the Rotary polio eradication effort.

Rotarian Millie Baycroft shows Harrison third graders some of the cool things found in their new dictionaries.  Whitehall and Cardwell 3rd graders also receive dictionaries from our club.  The Whitehall club has been delivering dictionaries to local and area third graders for more than 18 years.
